SafeBreach Labs has updated the Hacker’s Playbook™ with simulations for updates to US-CERT Technical Alert Alert TA17-164A, detailed in Malware Analysis Report (MAR) 10132963. This update covers the DeltaCharlie malware, used to perform DDoS attacks as part of the HIDDEN COBRA campaign. Customers can use these simulations to safely validate whether their security controls will stop the spread of the DeltaCharlie malware.
To assess security control effectiveness against the DeltaCharlie techniques involved in the HIDDEN COBRA campaigns, the SafeBreach Breach and Attack Simulation Platform specifically tests the following network security controls:
Playbook #1354 – DeltaCharlie
- Network controls – Is the DeltaCharlie DDoS malware able to be downloaded and transferred?
This new simulation builds on the HIDDEN COBRA simulations previously added to the Hacker’s PlaybookTM.
The SafeBreach Hacker’s Playbook™ of breach methods simulates these breach scenarios, and thousands more, without impacting users or infrastructure. Breach methods are constantly updated by SafeBreach Labs, our team of offensive security researchers, to help keep customers ahead of attacks.
